Why the music is used and evaluation

We have decided to use this music for the beginning of the film because it creates a mysterious but suspense mood to the piece. It isn't too thriller or scary and in fact personally i would not base this with a typical burgle, dangerous music. This is good because the scary aspect is only a small aspect at the beginning of the film so we would not like our opening to portray that the genre of our film is that of a horror or thriller.

We decided upon using the upbeat clubland music for our soundtrack to the film when Ben enters the house because it is typical for a young woman to be listening to nowadays. It also reflects music which is around in contemporary times, highlighting the modern style of our film. We also as a group thought it sounded the most appropriate to be playing on a radio in a modern context.

We have used police siren sound effects at the beginning of our piece when Ben is burgling the house. This conveys to the audience that Ben is in danger and is a criminal.

The soundtrack we have used is also uncopyrighted and so is available for us for us to use for our opening sequence.
