Audience Research

This Survey I found on the BFI website in one of their Statistical Yearbooks of 2012. It shows the average amount in percentage of the most likely people that will go to the cinema. I am looking at the more recent years of 2010+ because that will be the audience generations of which my film will be distributed to. Therefore it is shown that the most likely people to attend the cinema are those of the young ages of 15-24 and those least likely to go to the cinema are of the middle ages (in 2011). It is important to notice that within every year the most likely people to go to the cinema is the younger generations. Therefore, it is important for the target audience of your film to be of those younger ages if your production company is wanting to screen films within cinemas and be guaranteed an audience.
